A client wanted me to turn an old piece of furniture they had into a piece to store oil paintings.

The client loved the "character" of the old piece with it's distressed and powder post beetle eaten wood.

I re-used the old wood from the top to rebuild the piece twice as deep as before and almost a foot taller.

The old drawers and door faces were mounted onto a new door as a unit to maintain the look of the original while providing the functionality required.

Mission Style Quartz Clock.  Quartersawn White Oak with a shellac and wax finish. Quarter sawn figure on all four sides as well as the top. Black Walnut raised plugs accent the front. Approximately 11 1/2" tall.
